System is an IBM i1300 Thinkpad.   Dmesg output follows, with PNP
errors at bottom All of the PNP id's Correspond to built in
peripherals.  The machine has only one parallel port, and multiple
cardbus controllers.  There are no serial ports, although the PNP
system reports finding one. It does have a Lucent Winmodem.
The winmodem does not appear in the output from pciconf, also below
