Yes that was a typo its 5 minutes . It could be the revers lookup. How can I
fix this ? and I am using pppd from the 2.2.5 CD. My freebsd machine is called
rachel and my win95 machine is called area51. They both can ping each other
with their hostnames and ip addresses. so what could be causing the reverse
lookup.

BTW , thanx for the sendmail info .
I have also tried adding the following to ppp.conf

set redial 10 2
but it still tries to dial more than 2 times.

TIA

Ash ;)
