Looks like the ports version of freeglut can't do menus. I have: FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE-p3 #0: Tue Jun 12 02:52:29 UTC 2012 root@amd64-builder.daemonology.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC ports updated and freeglut rebuilt today. As far as I can tell it's this bug: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3487009&group_id=1032&atid=101032 It has the comment: This is now fixed in r1379. Could we get the freebsd freeglut 2.8.0 updated as glut menus are a fairly useful part of glut. I think the fix would require updating the freeglut src from a later revision since 2.8.0 release, maybe we should have a freeglut-devel port ? Happy to help if possible. Ta Steve
