But everything else than subversion. Huh. To me Subversion is a model of clarity, while Git is what you get by taking a version control system and replacing the commands with random words. Or maybe just switching all the commands, so they do not do what the word means. But this is probably not relevant, since the OP said they wanted to continue to use CVS.
