Nils Beyer reports that for him and his system
with ECC memory in it (comment #170):

cool, that module is already included in in 11.1-RELEASE (didn't know that).
But "dmesg" says after kldloading on my second system (with 16GB ECC RAM):

DRAM ECC is not supported or disabled
---------------------------------------------------------------------------=
--

So that would seem to be a way to confirm
or deny the ECC status when ECC memory is
present.
