>Environment:
Sorry, cant give you that but it is an upgraded 5.1 system, upgraded to 5.2.1.
>Description:
i hear very loud crackling sound when i play songs in xmms, if i use stop and play a couple of times it sometimes plays the mp3 songs fine. But 3/4 of the times it does just give me a loud noise with the song in the background. This did not happen in freebsd 5.1-release.
My soundcard is a ESS 1868 Audiodrive ISA PNP.
I used GENERIC kernels in both releases of freebsd, so I used the loadable modules.
>How-To-Repeat:
I get this problem about 3 of 4 times when i try to play a sound or a movie.
>Fix:
dont know.... sorry.
