My freebsd was the master drive on the secondary controller. The ide drive I took out was the slave on the primary controller. When I try to boot freebsd now Iit boots fine and recongnizes the new scsi drive but stops when it tries to mount root and says panic cannot mount root. Freebsd is still on the ide drive that is on the secondary ide controller as master.
