Hello FreeBSD, I am having problems loading ipnat and ipfilter at boot... I have ipfilter built into the kernel, but from what I can see from the boot messages is that rc.conf is loading ipnat and ipfilter before it configures the network interfaces, here is the error message: ipfilteropen device: Device not configured (then a list of rules that are not loading) ipmon/dev/ipl: open: Device not configured ipnat/dev/ipnat: open: Device not configured after these errors it brings up the interfaces dc0 dc1 and sets the gateway ect. I have tried moving the ipnat and ipfilter lines all around in the rc.conf file, and when I remove them from rc.conf it loads with no errors. my rc.conf file looks like this network_interfaces="dc0 dc1" ifconfig_dc0="inet 192.168.1.1 blah blah" ifconfig_dc1="inet 10.0.1. blah blah" sendmail_enable="YES" ssh_enable=blah gateway_enable="YES" hostname="blah" ipfilter_enable="YES" ipmon_enable="YES" ipmon_flags="-Dsvn" ipnat_enable=YES" I greatly appreciate any help you may provide Thank you John, a struggling newbie __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help?
