Subject: sio driver problem in FreeBSD-2.0R ?
Message-ID: <3d40eb$i4q@cony.gsf.de>

next in thread | raw e-mail | index | archive | help
sio driver fails:
("normal" Taiwan boards w. INTEL 486DX-33 ISA; IDE or SCSI)

- probe and attach section reports correct "16450" or "16550A".

- "cp <file> /dev/tty00" hangs.

- "stty -f /dev/tty00 <option>" comes back normally, but subsequent
  "stty -a -f /dev/tty00" shows no changed <option>.

This behaviour occurred in FreeBSD-2.0R Floppy-Kernel and self-compiled kernel,
as well as in former FreeBSD / NetBSD / 386BSD versions.
But up to FreeBSD-1.1.5.1, I replaced sio.c by the old com.c and recompiled,
and all was perfect.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.
