I'm sorry that you perceived this as a "quick dismissal." While I may have been quick to conclude that the Mitsumi driver was broken and you were up a creek, I certainly didn't "dismiss" the problem and would be more than happy to see someone fix it. You seem to be laboring under the misapprehension that people are paid to fix things on demand, however, and that's simply not the case. We have to wait until someone volunteers to do something before it gets done. Jordan
