For what it's worth, I'm also using a KVM, and I've gotten that message
in both 4.2-RELEASE and 4.3-RC. I'm still in the process of getting
X up and running in a satisfactory fashion, so I can't comment on whether
my Intellimouse works correctly despite that warning.
