Please check that you don't have environment
variables PACKAGESITE or PACKAGEROOT set.

If these are not set, please check the output of 'sysctl
kern.osreldate'.   This should be a number between 
503000 and 599000 if you are running 5.3-STABLE.

If not, it is likely that your system may not have been
updated using the recommended upgrade procedure in the
Handbook.
