The 4.9 versions of bind are tightly bound to the OS.  Go with
8.1 from www.isc.org.  It's 100% user-land and won't cause you
grief.  It builds right out of the box (at least it does on 2.2 :)
and the conversion utilities handled our named.boot conversion (with
about 200 domains) perfectly.
