This is a reply to an old posting, but I just discovered
the typo today ...  So here's the correction, just for
the record and for the benefit of people finding this
with a search engine.

That should be "make distribution".

Unfortunately, "make distribute" does not simply fail
immediately, but it does something almost completely
different.  :-)
