I managed to reproduce the error. It wasn't acroread7, but linux_base-8 who is to blame. Seems like pointyhat is removing packages not in dependency order. Well, it is the rignt thing. At list you are testing forced uninstall process as it may take place in practice (ie at upgrading one specific port). If pointyhat remove packages in dependency order we won't see the problem. The case was with directory interference between linux_base-8 and other ports (linux-glib2, linux-gtk2, etc). This port uses runtime directory structure to create plist and adds @dirrm method to cleanup directories. I wrote a PR to overcome the problem: ----- http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=85625 >Category: ports >Responsible: freebsd-ports-bugs >Synopsis: [patch] emulators/linux_base-8, plist fix >Arrival-Date: Fri Sep 02 09:40:18 GMT 2005 ----- WBR -- Boris B.
