Hello,
I reciently began working with a Mylex DAC960SXI which has the ability to provide multipule raids off the one controler. What we are interested in doing is creating a new raid off some disks we added in and getting freebsd to format the raid without rebooting if possible.

We are running FreeBSD 3.2-STABLE on a PII 333 with 256mb ram and a Adaptec 2940 Ultra Scsi controler. The Adaptec controler has just the system disk (9 gig SCSI) and the Mylex controler. The Mylex contoler had a raid of 6 x 18gig disks on one channel and 2 x 9 gig on another.

Anyone know how to do this or if it is possible?

	from,
