hi,
anyone using this driver ? it doesnt work for me. i found some people
having problems with it on FBSD 4.x too.

$ uname -a
FreeBSD tyrael.linnet 5.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE #2: Mon Sep 15
15:29:05 CEST 2003     root@tyrael.linnet:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/FAST
i386

$ kldload snd_fm801
$ pciconf -vl
none1@pci0:13:0:        class=0x040100 card=0x13191319 chip=0x08011319
rev=0xb1 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Forte Media, Inc.'
    device = 'FM801 Xwave PCI audio controller'
    class    = multimedia
    subclass = audio
none2@pci0:13:1:        class=0x090410 card=0x13191319 chip=0x08021319
rev=0xb1 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Forte Media, Inc.'
    device = 'FM801 Xwave PCI Joystick'
    class    = input device

$ cat /dev/sndstat
FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm)
Installed devices:

$ dmesg
<snip>
pci0: <multimedia, audio> at device 13.0 (no driver attached)
pci0: <input device> at device 13.1 (no driver attached)
</snip>

ACPI does not seem to have any effect. boot -v does not increase output
for sound related things.

any hints ?

thx
seb
