Hmm.  I vaguely remember a complete window system by the name of
MGR.  Sort of a lightweight "alternative" to X11.  I'm pretty sure
I once tried it on an original Hercules card (720x348 monochrome),
under Linux, I think.  Basically it was obsolete a decade ago.
