The openldap community is gradually transitioning from openldap-2.0 to openldap-2.1. Once the port is committed I would build patches for ports depending on openldap-2.0 to optionally build them agains openldap-2.1. I realize that the people who need to help out here have a high workload. Just checking on the status.
