I'm not sure this is as in depth an explanation as needed for me to be
making sense of this! The chipset in the smp machine is HX, in the UP case
it's VX, I wasn't aware there was that much of a speed difference. The RAM
is identical 60ns EDO, with the same amount per processor.

I'm not too worried about how this is the case, but it's good enough for
me anyway!
