I don't think so.

According to falloc() from sys/kern/kern_descrip.c:

	if (nfiles >= maxfiles) {
		tablefull("file");
		return (ENFILE);
	}

where maxfiles is equal to:

# sysctl kern.maxfiles
kern.maxfiles: 3240

--or--

# pstat -T
172/3240 files
34M/95M swap space
