Microsoft has one of the best PR machines on the planet. If they wanna do some stuff to promote FreeBSD as a viable alternative to Linux and port some of their software, I hardly see that as A Bad Thing (TM). The people in the Linux and other BSD camps aren't as susceptible as you think. They'll quickly figure out the same things that we have. No one can exactly "blame" us for Microsoft's decision to port to FreeBSD.
