Subject: Why bootup message doesn't stay longer? (2.2.5)

Once I got 2.2.5 I was pleasantly surprised by the new bootup
message. However, I find it does not stay on long enough.

I think a better approach is to have a longer time and have an option
to press a key to turn off the timer for this time.

The reasons behind this is that new users would be the ones reading
that first page. The current amount of time is too little for a new
comer to look at the info displayed.
