What's the problem, david?  The FreeBSD source tree is available
to the vim maintainer.

OTOH, has anyone ask Sleepycat about including DB3 so nvi
will work?  I'm sure I read some place on www.openoffice.org
that Sleepcat has granted OpenOffice (i.e., Sun) permission to
include berkeleydb (I don't recall which version) in their 
source tree?
