hi,

the STABLE release has a problem with
the aic7xxx SCSI driver and a 7810 controller.
my machine will hang when i try to boot it:

ahc0: <Adaptec aic7810 RAID memory controller> port 0xd800-0xd8ff mem 0xe7000000
-0xe71fffff,0xe4800000-0xe4800fff irq 12 at device 0.0 on pci1
RAID functionality unsupported
<...> hangs

a STABLE build of December 27 works, it will deliver the following output:

ahc0: <Adaptec aic7810 RAID memory controller> port 0xd800-0xd8ff mem 0xe7000000
-0xe71fffff,0xe4800000-0xe4800fff irq 12 at device 0.0 on pci1
RAID functionality unsupported
device_probe_and_attach: ahc0 attach returned 6
ahc1: <Adaptec 398X Ultra SCSI RAID adapter> port 0xd400-0xd4ff mem 0xe4000000-0
xe4000fff irq 12 at device 4.0 on pci1
aic7880: Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs

this probably happens somewhere in ahc_pci_config,
after the entry->setup() routine.

cheers,
