Hi

I have been experimenting with getting a WDS AP paired. I believe I
have succeeded. Both APs are running FreeBSD and have atheros cards.

I have, on the lounge AP:

wlans_ath0=3D"wlan0 wlan1"
create_args_wlan0=3D"wlanmode hostap"
create_args_wlan1=3D"wlanmode wds wlanbssid bc:30:7d:78:54:b7 wdslegacy u=
p"
ifconfig_wlan0=3D"ssid mjl mode 11g channel 11"
hostapd_enable=3D"YES"
cloned_interfaces=3D"bridge0"
ifconfig_bridge0=3D"inet 192.168.2.40/24 addm wlan0 addm wlan1 up"

and the inverse on the main AP. is the four-address traffic encrypted
with WPA? My assumption is that it is not. What do I do for the wlan1
interface to have it use WPA? Both APs are configured with WPA.

A related question:

Is it possible to put a second atheros interface in the lounge AP,
include it in the bridge group, put it on a second channel, and then
turn off the hostap on wlan0, so that lounge clients are on one channel,
but the traffic is hauled to the main AP on the other channel with wds?

Matthew
