They have changed several vars such as OSTYPE and BASH_VERSION. Bash 2.0 has broken several of my scripts. And these changes will make them quite ugly. [unless someone knows how to do a csh-style "if ( FOO ~= bar* )" in bash, other than having to use case statement. I've seen some people quite unhappy with the changes to these two env vars, so I'm thinking there my be a change in the next version/patch. Opinions? -- -- David (deobrien@ucdavis.edu)
