Actually, you can pull all the files, organize them by distribution, put them somewhere on your UNIX filesystem, use the 'ufs' install method, and point it to the files. I did this to upgrade our master server, since we mirror a local copy of the FreeBSD distribution to it. It's slower than local Ethernet, but it's better than dialing in over modem.
