I have a laptop that got run over and the cost is too high to have the stiffy and lcd fixed I would like to install freebsd on it. I can not work out how to get into the BIOS it is a compaq armada 1590DT I have the walnut creek CD of 3.3 and was wondering if there is a program on there like linux has which will reboot from dos or windows into the install programme. or is there a way to install the boot image onto the HDD instead of floppies as I said the floppy is dead.
