Hi,

in my attempt to update the devel/cdk port, I found that the code in
bsd.port.mk that does the registration of man page links is not able to
cope with the 821 MLINKS of that port.

The error message is:

===> Compressing manual pages for cdk-4.9.11.20041224,1
shift: can't shift that many
*** Error code 2

Is there any way to work around this, e.g. by processing those links in
two or more chunks?

Or even better, a fix for bsd.port.mk?

You can find my port here:

Simon
