I have been playing with "Virtual Users" in "pure-ftpd" and it seems to have messed things around. Substituting `bob` for the user name, here is some of my command line: # grep bob /etc/passwd /etc/pwd.db # pw add user lindalepark pw: user 'bob' already exists # grep lindale /etc/passwd /etc/pwd.db /etc/passwd:lindalepark:*:1003:1003:User &:/home/lindalepark:/bin/sh # pw del user bob pw: no such user `bob' If I delete the entry from /etc/passwd, the cycle starts again. Any hints? Rich
