No because certain people argue that having a 64 bit counter slows
down the machine to the level of a 386SX-16 and who needs large
counters anyway...

IMO 64 bit interface counters are a must and ipfw counters are 64 bits
wide since 3.0 without any noticeable impact on performance (other
than rule processing).
