I agree with Gary. I don't think everyone who wishes to
compile and use apache port wants to have an alpha version.
I'd rather suggest to fix Makefile to have "CURRENT" variable
and if this variable is "YES" - then it should go ahead and build
current version. And if not - then it should stick with latest release.
Or something like this.
