This will stop broadcast echo:

sysctl -w net.inet.icmp.bmcastecho=0

Subject: How do I disable ping and echo in FreeBSD-Stable

Hello Group,
I am looking at how to disable pings and echoes, basically I want to do
manually to FreeBSD what Titan does to Solaris 8 with the
disable-pings-echoes.sh script.
I've disabled all the echo entries in inetd.conf, as well as every other
service I don't need there.
Are there any steps I've missed? I searched under the mail list archives and
didn't find any others.
Thank you in advance,
Eric
