I have an old Toshbia 4015CDT which can use
the Yamaha OPL-SAX. If your card is plug &
play or pci, you can add pcm to your kernel
conf. Your irq, port, drq, etc., will probably
be different than mine, but I'll put what
I have in my kernel conf to try to give
you an idea:
device pcm0 at isa? irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x0
After I recompiled it & rebooted, I did a
dmesg | grep pcm
It was there, so I cd /dev & did
sh MAKEDEV snd0
That made all the devices I needed. I had the
advantage (hmmm... <g>) of previously having
windoze on the laptop & was able to print out
all the system info about interrupts, ports,
etc. Hope this helps some.
