I remember the 25-pin connectors from my DEC PDP-11 days when there weren't any mice and there was no graphical display. And as I recall, they were labeled RS232C then, even if DEC only used three of the pins. But having been in and out of technology a couple times since then, I never saw a 25-pin mouse connector.
