Looking at my logs:

startup:
Aug 18 09:41:40 mini kernel: wlan0: Ethernet address: b4:82:fe:72:16:09
Aug 18 09:41:41 mini kernel: wlan0: link state changed to UP

?:
Aug 18 09:45:25 mini kernel: ath0: bb hang detected (0x80), resetting

RF switch off:
Aug 18 09:49:50 mini kernel: ath0: bb hang detected (0x80), resetting
Aug 18 09:50:13 mini kernel: wlan0: link state changed to DOWN

RF switch on:
Aug 18 09:50:13 mini kernel: wlan0: link state changed to UP

AP changed channels
Aug 18 09:54:40 mini kernel: ath0: bb hang detected (0x80), resetting

wlan0 destroy:
Aug 18 09:56:31 mini kernel: wlan0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 18 09:56:31 mini dhclient[1300]: Interface wlan0 no longer appears valid.

wlan0 create:
Aug 18 09:56:33 mini kernel: wlan0: Ethernet address: b4:82:fe:72:16:09
Aug 18 09:56:36 mini kernel: wlan0: link state changed to UP

It really looks likes like it's signal related, not card related
because this card still got a signal related bb hang before the
channel change, but not after.
