I just tried it on a 4.11 box: > No it's not weird, as 4.11 still has perl in the base system, and the package he installed using portupgrade was built for the base systems version of perl. If he had used the port to install p5-Mail-SPF-Query, then the port would have been created with the correct dependancy on Perl 5.8.7 due to the Perl entries in /etc/make.conf. And it would have installed into /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7/ instead of /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005. Scot -- DISCLAIMER: No electrons were mamed while sending this message.
