Grr.  Is your root.flp image OK?  Did you download it in binary mode?  Try
pulling it again.  It's wierd that BOTH DOS and floppy installs wouldn't
work.  

I'd try 2.1.5 as soon as Jordan unlocks the directory.

True.  makeflp.bat basically runs
format a: 
rawrite boot.flp a:
pause
format a:
rawrite root.flp a:

2.1.5 does away with the root floppy if that makes you feel better :)

I'm still at a loss at this point.
