There's a flamewar^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H discussion about this on the
-current list at the moment. Or something similar, anyway (I seem to
have rather lost track of the argument).

In the meantime, how about tar'ing up your new versions of /bin,
/sbin, /usr/lib, /usr/bin, /usr/sbin (and any other directories I've
overlooked) and extracting them on the other machines?
