Howdy,

I have an issue with syslogd that I'm not sure how to resolve.

I'm running 5.0-CURRENT:

I get this dmsg error:

pid 207 (syslogd), uid 0; exited on signal 6 (core dumped).

I have checked the Bug Tracking archives at www.au.freebsd.org and found =
nothing
that talks about a broken syslogd.

This is happening on 2 machines with the same 5.0-CURRENT snapshot, =
suggesting that syslogd is broken.
Does anyone know about this ? (And yes I have scaled the mail archives =
of -CURRENT)

If I start the syslogd from the shell I get this error:

syslogd: cannot create /var/run/log: Invalid argument
syslogd: child pid 516 exited with return code 1

Question:

Where do I start to begin to solve this ?

  - Alex=20
