If the question isn't accompanied with background information, then it
probably is, because I interpret that as not being familiar yet with
the mailinglists. With the info given below, it would not have been
inappropriate for -ports.

I can now agree with you :-)

[List of libraries cut]. Ok, this tells me that you have linux_base
(ie version 6.1). Good.

A recent -STABLE machine with a linux kernel module before the Mega-MFC.
Good.

What happens if you do not enable ADABAS? I never enabled it and I also
never had problems with SO-5.2...

Searching the mailing lists I found the following:
URL=http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/getmsg.cgi?fetch=2341750+2344274+/usr/local/www/db/text/2001/freebsd-questions/20010916.freebsd-questions

\begin{sniplet}
As far as I know 2 things will not work:
- StarOffice's database ADABAS and
- Netscape will not be able to display JAVA-applets
  (JavaScripts will work fine).
\end{sniplet}

So, try it without ADABAS and see if things improve.

Oh, since you have a 2.2.12 linux kernel module. Stick to SO-5.2.
If you need to run SO-6, you need to upgrade you -STABLE box and
I suggest to make sure it's what you want.

HTH,
