I have this strange problem on my system. Trying to configure a system for usage within a local network, if I use the area 10 the ifconfig hangs, otherwise it works normally. In my sysconfig I have (tried with ed (NE2000) and ep (3Com) boards, the behaviuor is the same): "inet 10.183.7.2 netmask 255.255.0.0" or "inet 101.183.7.2 netmask 255.255.0.0" The first line hangs, the second works. The box is actually the only one in the network, so there is no conflict with anyone. I must use area 10 because nextly we'll have a gateway to Internet on this lan. Any hint or suggestion?
