I have device.hints in /tftpboot/boot/device.hints. Checking the ngrep
logs, it does not seem to be loaded.

The kernel is the kernel from the kern?.flp files in 
ftp.freebsd.org:/pub/FreeBSD/releases/<arch>/<release>/floppies.

Swap com1 and com2, why? I've got both the display and com1 (virtual serial
port) output visible already.

By the way: I found out I have to press enter to continue the output
from show. Here it is completely:

There it stops. I don't get any more data from ngrep after getting to
