            Bug ID: 238482
           Summary: firefox-67.0_3,1 -- print pre-formatting is HORRIBLE
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: rfg-freebsd@tristatelogic.com

I have firefox-67.0_3,1 installed and running on a fresh new 12.0-RELEASE
system.

For reasons that are not the least bit clear, both print preview(s) and act=
ual
printed output for even very simple web pages (e.g the administration page =
for
CUPS, localhost:631) look absolutely abysmal, and they look MUCH worse than=
 the
print previews and/or the printed output for the exact same pages look over=
 on
my Ubuntu/Linux 18.04 system when I am also using Firefox 67.0 on that
operating system.

I don't know what it is, but SOMETHING is going horribly wrong with Firefox=
's
pre-print formatting of even simple text web pages, and the result is hardly
even worth printing because it is nearly illegible. And this is apparently
only failing on FreeBSD, but NOT also on Linux/Ubuntu.

I will provide screenshots and/or scans of the (badly) formatted/printed pa=
ges
if necessary, but believe that this problem should be easy to reproduce.

P.S. If I could figure out how to mark this bug report as URGENT, then I w=
ould
do so. Every other FreeBSD-specific bug I know of I can work around, but t=
his
one I can't. I need this to work. I have no alternative. On 12.0-RELEASE,
Opera is crashing if the user even goes near the print menu (which I have
already filed a spearate bug report on), and there's something broken in
chromium that prevents it from properly forgrounding when run under the fvwm
window manager (which I use). So I have no other real choice but to contin=
ue
using Firefox. It would be most helpful if Firefox could just simply print=
 web
pages in a way that's fit for human consumption.
