I got this Thinkpad running NetBSD. The trick with the keyboard was to use pccons and comment out the code to initialize the keyboard. To get the machine working otherwise I had to tell NetBSD that there is 4k less memory then there is (biosbasemem -= 4 in i386/machdep.c). alex
