I have an interesting problem. I would like to have my modem dial a phone #, connect, and have getty detect DCD and proceed with the login process. I've tried a lot of things, including writing my own C program to interface with the serial port (/dev/cuaa2, etc). I initially had a hard time getting 'stty' to set up the port correctly. I believe I finally have this resolved thanks to rc.serial. I've fiddled with this one for a while. Does anyone have any answers? Thanks. Rich
