Ok, I'll commit this to 2.95.3 in -current and -stable.  I will not
promiss to keep this feature in 3.0 until I see if we can still easily do
the check.  I haven't tried gcc-devel with those set of options, so it
may easily DTRT.  In fact, if someone has time to evaluate how gcc-devel
handles that issue, I maybe could bring it up on the GCC list.
