Hello Tony.

I use the cached (it is in the packages).
Once installed, edit the file /usr/local/harvest/lib/cached.conf.
to your needs.

Go the the netscape options->network and define the proxy to be your 
FreeBSD machine port 3128 for http and ftp.

After that, once your machine is linked to the internet, your wife will
be able to access the net from her mac.
