No, I am not a masochist thats just the level of difficulty on Doom. I managed to find the ethernet driver and why mach4 was not seen my SMC ether card. The kernel was not configured for it! Make sure that: mach4-i386/kernel/bogus/wd.h has at least one ethercard configured: #define NWD 2 At any rate, I did managed to run doom with the display aimed at another PC since I don't have X running locally, yet.
